The most photogenic man in the world is a photogenic cat
The most handsome man in history is a cat, and a cat has the most photographic portfolio.
And that’s exactly what photographer Andrew Cunningham, who runs the blog Cats and the Internet, says is true.
“When I’m looking at the photos of the cat, I feel like I’m in a photograph,” Cunningham said in a recent interview with NPR.
His site, Cats and I, is filled with photos of cats and cats in various states of undress.
The photos are accompanied by captions, including a quote that reads, “If you look at a cat in a room, you can see its face is just as beautiful as its fur.”
“There’s this sense that you’re looking at an animal,” Cunningham continued.
“It’s a little bit of an exaggeration, but it’s an accurate depiction of the cats experience.”
Cunningham said he first started seeing cat photos when he was a college student.
He said he’d spend hours snapping photos of himself posing with his cats and even posing with a cat named Fuzzy in his bedroom.
Cunnington said that’s how he got hooked on cats.
He said the cats in his photos are a part of him.
“When they’re not looking at me, they’re making noise,” Cunningham told NPR.
“When they see a cat and it’s not a human, they get a little freaked out.”
The cat photo site has been around since 2004, but Cunningham says the cat photo community has exploded since then.
Cunningman said the trend for cat photos started after the election of Donald Trump.
“There was a sense of ‘we are all going to go to the mall,'” he said.
“So, we decided to take our cat photos and put them on a site that was very much about the people and the people in America.”
Calls to Cunningham’s website have been up since late February, and the site has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.
As of Monday morning, the site had over 3,000,000 views, according to Cunningham.
But Cunningham said he’s not just looking for cats.
He said his website is about other people who are interested in cats, and he has a number of cat-related projects lined up.
